Janine Zabel
Janine is the director of business development for LaBreche in Madison, Wisconsin. Prior to that, she managed accounts for the Minneapolis office, providing high-level media relations to clients in the legal, financial, medical and consumer industries. She is also one of the agency's media training professionals.
Janine's extensive background in media relations has grown from her experience as a member of the media. Before joining LaBreche, she worked as a television anchor and reporter in Iowa and Minnesota. Janine has also served as a media relations consultant for Learning Journeys International Center of Coaching and a media relations assistant for Barnes and Noble.
This experience has given Janine the insight and understanding to determine what the media wants. As a result, she has played a key role in securing coverage for LaBreche clients in top-tier publications and television news programs.
Janine earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and mass communication from the University of Minnesota and is a certified life coach practitioner.
Janine is an active member of the Madison Club. She has served on the boards of a variety of charitable organizations including United Way, Blood Center of Central Iowa, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Edina PTA and Mount Olivet Lutheran Church. She has done pro bono work in the area of marketing and communications for many of these organizations as well as Hope Chest for Breast Cancer.
